COSI Calibration of sea-ice forecasts

The main objective of the COSI project is to improve short-term (up to 10 days) sea-ice concentration forecasts from the Copernicus Marine Service (CMEMS) using machine learning techniques. The project consortium is composed of researchers from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute and the Nansen Environmental and Remote Sensing Center (NERSC). The COSI project is funded by the Copernicus Marine Service which is implemented by Mercator Ocean in the framework of a delegation agreement with the European Union.
